Rec Classes

GymBabies is a 4-week mini session that is a coach-led, adult assisted gymnastics exploration class for ages crawling – 2 years old. The class involves a warm-up game/activity, gymnastics stations and free time for exploration. The class focuses on locomotions, static shapes and balances, and other gymnastics fundamentals while heavily utilizing props and object manipulation. While the class is coach-led, it involves the adult actively moving and interacting with their GymBaby. We ask that only one adult be assisting at a time in the gymnastics facility.

A coed class for children ages 2-3 years old. Each child participating requires an adult to assist during the class. The class involves a warm-up game/activity and two different gymnastics circuits. The children will learn different locomotions, static shapes and balances, and other gymnastics fundamentals. The children will also have to utilize skills taught such as sharing, patience and listening. While the class is coach-led, it involves the adult actively moving and interacting with their child. We ask that only one adult be assisting at a time in the gymnastics facility.

A coed class for children ages 3-5 years old. The class will teach the children a mixture of gymnastics skills and parkour locomotions. The class is all about keeping the children moving and active for the entire time. They will learn rolls, balances, landings and basic hangs, and locomotions like two-foot & single foot spring up, over and onto objects, different direction running, and parkour vaults (safety, kong, etc.) The children must be POTTY TRAINED and go to the bathroom with limited to no help.

A coed class for children ages 3-5 years old. The class will teach the children the basics of gymnastics. They will try out all of the different gymnastics equipment. They will learn skills like forward and backward rolls, half handstands, landing off of objects, and hangs and so much more. The children will learn how to wait in line, share equipment, and participate in a class without mom or dad. The coach will lead the children through a warm-up game/stretch and three different gymnastics circuits. The children must be POTTY TRAINED and able to go to the bathroom will limited to no help.

Advanced Super Tots can be a co-ed class for athletes ages 4-6 years old. The program was designed to give athletes an additional challenge without having the time commitment of the pre-competitive program. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of gymnastics while developing their strength and flexibility. At the end of the session, the progress report cards will reflect the basic skills required to compete at a CCP 1 level.

School Age gymnastics is our beginner class for girls & boys ages 6-9. Many athletes who register for School Age gymnastics have never done gymnastics or have very limited experience. The program is based around the Can-Gym program that many clubs use around Canada. They will focus on the fundamental movement patterns of gymnastics: Landings, Stationary positions, Locomotions, Rotations and Swings.

For girls and boys ages 6-9. This class is for children who have done gymnastics sessions before and are looking for a challenge yet are not ready to commit to a longer Advanced class. Intermediate gymnastics will advance the skills that the children have previously learned. Intermediate gymnastics will put an emphasis on a few skills like; round-offs, bridges/kick overs, and pullovers.

The Advanced Rec. program focuses on challenging the athletes at their own pace. Athletes will work their way through the CCP 1-3 skill requirements. The Advanced Rec classes give the children a taste of learning advanced gymnastics skills, while developing their strength and flexibility in a low-key commitment setting.

A new class to Eclipse Gymnastics for the Fall 2022 session. This class is recommended for boys ages 5-9 who have done multiple sessions of gymnastics before. The class will introduce basic skills on the 6 apparatuses that are involved in Men’s Competitive gymnastics; Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, P-Bars & High Bar. Although we do not offer a competitive boys program, this is a great class to transition out of the pre-school classes and into a more challenging class.

Developmental gymnastics was formerly known as Intro to JO gymnastics. This pre-competitive class runs alongside our 10-week recreational session. In Developmental gymnastics, athletes will work to learn and master the skills that would be required in the future to form routines, if they so wish to compete at a CCP level 1 & 2 level. The 2-hour class will also put an important emphasis on strength, flexibility and skill technique. Developmental gymnastics is a great class option for girls to transition from the recreational program into the 10-month Competitive commitment.
